About Hospice of Northeast Missouri
Hospice of Northeast Missouri has been in business as a Medicare-certified agency for over 25 years. We exist to provide compassionate physical, spiritual, and emotional end-of-life care. Our vision is of a community where death is viewed as a stage of life to be shared with family. A place where patients, families and the community believe that a hospice supported terminal illness is best delivered by a multidisciplinary team approach to care. Our commitment is to continually build on a tradition of excellence in service with an uncompromising dedication to alleviating the suffering that embraces the whole person - body, mind, and spirit.
Hospice of Northeast MO is a free-standing, non-profit hospice agency providing end-of-life care to a rural 10-county area in Northeast Missouri. Those counties are Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Scotland, Schuyler, Shelby, Sullivan, and Putnam. For the residents of 5 (Clark, Lewis, Scotland, Schuyler & Putnam) of these counties our agency is the only hospice available to them for services. Being a non-profit agency, we provide care to those individuals who meet medical criteria for admission to hospice services, regardless of the ability to pay. Certifying an individual as medically appropriate for hospice requires a physician to complete a certification of a terminal illness.
