About Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc.
Northeast Missouri Health Council takes pride in providing quality patient care. We conduct an ethical practice that adheres to all state and federal rules and regulations. NMHC is committed to achieving safe, high-quality healthcare for all our patients. Our goal is to ensure that all patients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right setting, every time. We strive to reach our goal by ensuring care is:
Effective – provide services based on scientific knowledge and best practices.
Patient-centered – provide care that is respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and values.
Timely – reduce wait time and sometimes harmful delays for both those who receive and deliver care.
Equitable – provide care that does not vary in quality because of personal characteristics.
As a community health center, NMHC reports healthcare quality measures annually to the federal Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Primary Healthcare. As an agency, we are recognized by various bodies that distinguish our quality improvement measures, state-of-the-art performance standards, and provision of patient-centered, coordinated care.
For the past three years, NMHC has been recognized by the Department of Health and Human Services as a Health Center Quality Leader and National Quality Leader.
As a Health Center Quality Leader, NMHC achieved the best overall clinical performance among over 1300 health centers in the nation. As a National Quality Leader, NMHC exceeded national quality benchmarks, including Healthy People 2020 goals, for chronic disease management, preventive care, and perinatal/prenatal care.
