Dear Members,
For months I have been mentioning the urgent need for additional board members to continue on with the mission of the Chamber of Commerce. We meet once a month on the 1st Thursday of the month at 8 am at the Visitor Center. Additional commitments relate to project leadership like, programing, BAH, parades, membership, Visitor Center, etc.
The Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce does not exist without a leadership board to lead the organization. We are now 3 members short of a full board and we are in dire need of individuals committed to the long-term success of our local businesses.
Chambers of Commerce across the country are in a transition period of finding their way into the 21st century, learning how to provide services that matter to an always evolving business climate. If you are passionate about Leadville/Lake County and creating a chamber that truly serves the local community, please talk to one of the current board members to learn more. Here is your current board:
Tracy Purdy - President
Jill Hall - Treasurer
Debby Lopez - At Large
Cindy Nemeth - At Large
I urge each of you to consider your role within this organization. Whether you are pleased with the chamber, or not, you can play an important role in the future of our community. I know that most of us are stretched thin but I sincerely hope that there are members reading this willing to step up to the plate and make a difference! It's time to fish or cut bait my friends! Make hay while the sun is shining! Be the change you want to see!
Tracy Purdy
Chamber Board President
