Director's Corner

Hello Members,
I hope that everyone is enjoying our bountiful winter and with it our wonderful traditions of Leadville Ski Joring last weekend and the Leadville Loppet the week before.  I received a comment from a prospective Chamber member that spends time in Summit County as well, and she relayed that it is known over the hill that Leadville and Lake County are trying to add to their portfolio of winter activities and attractions.  Hopefully the word will continue to spread and people will come on over and check us out!

Please note that the date has been chosen for the 2014 Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, and it will be Saturday, May 17th.  More information about this will be forthcoming as well as nomination forms for 2 Chamber Board seats for two year terms that will be announced at that meeting.

Please also note the many activities and upcoming meetings in this Chamber newsletter that will allow you as either businesspeople or citizens to get involved and stay up to date with things that are going on in your community that may affect you or your business.

One item about these Chamber Newsletters in 2014 and moving forward.  Chamber Newsletters will be published twice per month in the first and third weeks of the month.  If you are interested in providing information for the Chamber Newsletter, please email the information to my attention at leadville@leadvilleusa.com and it will go into the next one.

I thank you for all for your involvement in the Chamber and in the business community, and for being a member of the Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce.
