Bio:
Daniela Larsen is a certified National Geographic Educator with longstanding relationships with schools in Nepal, Madagascar, Mongolia, and Utah. As the Director of the Hutchings Museum and Institute, with expertise in digital media and educational content creation, she has created content and led film crews to Everest Base Camp, Madagascar’s Turning of the Bones, and Mongolia’s Golden Eagle Festival. She has also led many conservation projects in Utah, both through the public school system and on the Ute reservation. As a National Geographic Certified Educator, she has created several online science programs for local schools, directed in-person conservation programs, provided internships, and has created several opportunities for municipalities to participate in conservation and geographic education. Daniela has experienced firsthand the power of technology to allow multiple cultures and geographies to collaborate on identifying and solving issues together.
