Starting this month, the Membership Committee will be rolling out a new procedure at the membership luncheons.  This is in regards to flyers.  Luncheon table material placement will be reserved for the luncheon sponsor and chamber use.

While members are welcome to bring flyers to the event, they will be placed at the luncheon entrance for pick up before or after the event.  Flyers will also be displayed on a scrolling presentation before the luncheon begins. If you are interested in sharing flyers, please drop off up to 40 items at the office and email a PDF/JPG of the flyer to use in the pre-luncheon presentation.  Extra flyers can be picked up or used at the chamber office.

RSVPs are very important to our event schedule.  They help us stay on budget and ensure clear communication between our catering and venue partners. 

If you are unable to attend a monthly luncheon, please remember we are happy to refund your ticket with 24 hour notice.  We will not longer be able to move reservations from one month to another.

This Month's Topic: The newly named SIUC Athletic Director Jerry Kill will join us to discuss leadership on and off the gridiron.  

Legendary football coach Jerry Kill, who led the Salukis to five consecutive NCAA playoff appearances from 2003-07, returned to Southern Illinois University in March 2018 as a special assistant to the chancellor, and his role was expanded in April 2018 to include oversight of Athletics. Kill was head football coach at SIU from 2001 to 2007, leading the Salukis to three straight Gateway Football Conference Championships. 

Event Information and Registration

The Marion Chamber of Commerce will host the second 2019 Mastermind Group on Mondays from noon to 1:15 pm April 1 - May 20 (8 weeks) at Heartland Regional Medical Center downstairs classrooms.

Topic: Want to provide more effective support to your employees and co-workers but unsure about coaching? This Mastermind Group will use “The Coaching Habit” by Michael Bungay Stanier to discover and apply the technique of coaching. Stanier uses seven essential coaching questions to demonstrate how -- by saying less and asking more -- you can develop coaching methods that produce great results.
