Emergency preparedness planning for organizations is critical to minimize the impact of disasters on people, operations, property, and investments. Unfortunately, most organizations in the United States are not prepared to withstand a disaster or other emergency. Ready Rating preparedness program that helps organizations of all types prepare appropriately, respond effectively and recover quickly from disasters and other emergencies.

Ready Rating with the American Red Cross is a free membership program to better prepare for disasters and other emergencies.  It is a quick 5-10minute survey to see how your rank against other businesses or organizations with many resources at your fingertips.

Update from the Paris Center of Fine Arts

The decision to delay the 2020-21 season has been a difficult one for the Paris Center of Fine Arts. The community response to our line-up of performers has been exciting to see, and our artists have been looking forward to performing for you just as much.
However, we need to respect the safety of both our patrons and the community, so we have rescheduled the first half of our season from fall 2020 to fall 2021. At this time the PCOFA plans to bring you our wonderful new lineup starting in February 2021.
We would like to thank our community for their patience and understanding. This is a loss both to our performers and our audience, but it isn’t a permanent one, and we look forward to bringing live entertainment back as soon as it’s safe.
To answer any questions, feel free to contact Fine Arts Manager Kristin Chittick at 217-251-2016, or email us at info@pcofa.net. Both our website, www.pcofa.net, and our Facebook page are open, and we have an Instagram coming soon as well.
We at the PCOFA want you to know that “Performances on the Prairie” will be back again soon!

Update from Gaslight Art Colony

We are very excited to move in a new direction that allows not only colony members, but all art enthusiasts to view the work of our local artists.

Beginning in September our show is a special memorial tribute to Kate Meehling. Kate’s virtual opening reception is scheduled for September 19th. A virtual display of the show will be on Facebook and on Gaslight’s website, www.gaslightartcolony.com

Kate’s show will be on display at the gallery on September 19th- October 10th.

We are also pleased to announce two more 2020 Art Shows scheduled for October and November.

The River City Art Association will display artwork and we will offer a virtual show via Facebook Live October 17th. Ann Chalos-McAleese and Andrew McAleese, talented glass artists from Terre Haute, IN, will showcase their work.  Their show will continue through November 21st- December 12th.

We hope to resume small group classes in the future.
