Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Group UPDATES Pickleball Pickleball will be available to play indoors on Sundays, beginning October 13, 2019 through May 3, 2020 in the Auxiliary gym at Minnewaska High School from 12:30-2:30 p.m. You may use the schools nets, paddles and balls.
For more information, watch for your Minnewaska Messenger in the mail, or call 320-239-1305 for directions to the gym, and punch card payment. There will be no cash payment available.
Did you sign up for a Special Interest Group?? Are you interested in being a Group Starter?
We need some Group Starters for the Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Specific Interest Groups. Group starters will get the specific group together for the first time. Emails and phone numbers will be given to the Group Starter. All you have to do is plan the date, time and place for that first get together. Then as a group you will plan when you want to meet again.

Magical Christmas in Glenwood Magical Christmas in Glenwood Celebration is three Thursdays in December - 5, 12 & 19.
Also included in the Christmas Celebration is the CP Lighted Holiday Train, and Glenwood Day at Andes Tower Hills. The train will be arriving at the Glenwood Depot on Friday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m. This is a fundraiser for the Pope County Food Shelf. Glenwood Day at Andes Tower Hills is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with great prices. For more information visit WelcomeGlenwood.org.
Kick Off for the Magical Christmas in Glenwood Celebration is Thursday, December 5th.
Take in the tree lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m. at the Eagle Bank Plaza and, watch the parade at 5:30 p.m. After that, head over to Glenwood Lutheran Church for the Community Supper from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Enjoy a catered meal by Lakes Catering, take a horse and wagon ride, and kids can see Clueless the Christmas Elf (balloon Twister) and start coloring their Christmas picture for the annual Coloring Contest.
Everyone is invited to be part of the “Magical Christmas in Glenwood†celebration.
Holiday Market Vendors will be allowed to sell/showcase their products and/or services during regular banking hours. There is only room for 12 vendors.
Set up is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. prior to the bank opening. Tear down will be scheduled at 5:00 p.m on Friday. To register, go to our website and click on the link for the Magical Christmas in Glenwood Holiday Market.
Lighted Holiday Parade Be creative and make this Magical Christmas in Glenwood Lighted Holiday Parade something fun and enjoyable for your team members and the entire community! Lighted entries can include lights, candles, flashlights, glow sticks, etc.
All entries are judged along the parade route for the "Best Holiday Spirit" Traveling Trophy! Northern Print Co. was the winner of the Battle of the Businesses bowling tournament held on Sunday, November 17th at Garden Center Lanes in Alexandria. Pictured left to right: Lyle Katzenmeyer, Kathy Katzenmeyer, Monica Gosseling and Dalen Gosseling. Glacial Ridge Health System was a close second place, and Glacial Ridge Health System Physical Therapy came in third! Thanks to all teams for participating in a fun afternoon of bowling, and a Vikings WIN!

Choir Concert Tickets go on sale Dec. 2 at $6 per ticket. Tickets can be picked up at the thigh school choir room or reserved and collected at the door on the day of the concert. To reserve your tickets, call 320-239-1340, leave a message with the amount of tickets needed for the concert attending; tickets can then be paid at the door. There is no reserved seating. In case of snowstorm, the make-up day is Monday, December 16th.
