The Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year's Day.
Work has begun on the 2020 Minnewaska Visitor Guide. Any events for 2020 that you would like to have submitted for the "Calendar of Events" listed in the guide, email Kay at kay.blauert@WelcomeGlenwood.org or call the office at 320-634-3636. Final decision on dates published will be by the Pope County Tribune staff. Information should be submitted by December 20th.

Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Group UPDATES Magical Christmas in Glenwood continues on Thursday night, December 19th with the Living Nativity. More information can be found in this newsletter or visit welcomeglenwood.org, and go to the Magical Christmas page.
Want to get involved in the celebration? Kay is looking for a volunteer(s) for the living nativity. She needs a few volunteers (male and female) for the early shift 4:00-5:30 p.m. and could use a couple volunteers for the second shift from 5:30-7:00 p.m., mostly need for the early shift.
Costumes are provided and can be worn over heavy winter clothing, and no speaking parts just need to be in the manger scene. Call 634-3636 if interested or for more information.
Did you sign up for a Special Interest Group?? Are you interested in being a Group Starter?
We need some Group Starters for the Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Specific Interest Groups. Group starters will get the specific group together for the first time. Emails and phone numbers will be given to the Group Starter. All you have to do is plan the date, time and place for that first get together. Then as a group you will plan when you want to meet again.
Please contact the Welcome Center for more information or to sign up! Save the date - Sunday, January 19, 2020 January Newcomers event is an early evening of dancing with the Lakeside Dance Club. Music by Velvet Brass.
Newcomers should have received more information in the "Newcomers News & Notes" newsletter.
Anyone interested in attending or joining the Lakeside Dance Club are always welcome. The January date is Sunday, January 19, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. For more information go to lakesideballroom.org.
Pickleball Pickleball will be available to play indoors on Sundays, beginning October 13, 2019 through May 3, 2020 in the Auxiliary gym at Minnewaska High School from 12:30-2:30 p.m. You may use the schools nets, paddles and balls.
For more information, watch for your Minnewaska Messenger in the mail, or call 320-239-1305 for directions to the gym, and punch card payment. There will be no cash payment available.
Magical Christmas in Glenwood
Thank You! Thank you to all who participated in the "Magical Christmas in Glenwood" Family Night and Open House at the Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center. Thank you to those who volunteered to help with all the activities.

Pope County Mobile
Food Drop
The next Mobile Food Drop will be held on Tuesday, January 7, at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood. Registration is at 11 a.m. and food distribution will begin at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring boxes to carry your food.
The Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event. Anyone who eats and lives in Pope County is able to utilize this program.
This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties.
