Congratulations Pope County Tribune
Congratulations to Pope County Tribune on winning six awards at this year's annual newspaper convention. The Minnewaska Visitor Guide won first place for the “best magazine”. The 2020 Minnewaska Visitor Guide will be available soon and can be found at many area businesses and always available at the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center.
The Welcome Center sends out this publication yearly all over the state of Minnesota. The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center also participates with the Explore Minnesota Leadshare Program, which is an on-line request for tourist information. Last year we sent over 100 copies of this publication to people all over the United States and yes, to other countries too. Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Group UPDATES Newcomers Happy Hour
Join us on Thursday, February 27 at 5:00 p.m. or whenever you can make it! We will be meeting at Lake Reno Bar & Grill, 14566 MN-29, Glenwood. See you there! Pickleball Pickleball will be available to play indoors on Sundays through May 3, 2020 in the Auxiliary gym at Minnewaska High School from 12:30-2:30 p.m. You may use the schools nets, paddles and balls.

Community Announcements Pope County Mobile Food Drop The next Mobile Food Drop will be held on Tuesday, February 11, at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood. Registration is at 11 a.m. and food distribution is from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring boxes to carry your food.
The Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event. Anyone who eats and lives in Pope County is able to utilize this program.
This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties.
