2020 KIDS DAY CANCELLED
A decision was made to CANCEL the annual Kids Day, Take a Kid Fishing and Bike Rodeo on Saturday, June 6th due to the COVID-19 Virus. With the size of this event and the many activities we would not be able to follow the social distancing and other guidelines to keep everyone safe. We plan to celebrate KIDS DAY again June 5th, 2021.

NOTE TO BUSINESSES THAT DISPLAY THE WELCOME TABLE CARDS:
DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND MANY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES BEING CANCELLED THIS SUMMER, THE WELCOME CENTER ADVISORY BOARD MADE THE DECISION THAT THE TABLE CARDS WILL NOT BE PRINTED FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS. WE ARE HOPEFUL THAT WE WILL PRINT AND DISPLAY THEM AGAIN THIS FALL.

Pope County Mobile
Food Drop
The next Mobile Food Drop will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood.
Registration will be online or over the phone. Please call 320-834-7800.
Distribution times will be later in the day to allow for pre-packing the groceries
Participants will remain in their vehicles and through the parking lot (at their assigned time given to them following registration)
Participants will load their groceries that have been pre-packed, and drive away.
The Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event. Anyone who eats and lives in Pope County is able to utilize this program.
This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties.
CITY OF GLENWOOD FLUSHING HYDRANTS
The City of Glenwood Public works Department will be flushing hydrants the weeks of May 11 and May 18. City residents may notice a temporary discoloration of water. If this occurs run the water until it clears.
