![]() Spring Jam 2021 We are still working on final data but considering all of the obstacles that 2021 presented our Spring Jamboree committee this year, we would say it was pretty successful. Vendors were happy with the traffic and attendees seemed to enjoy the fresh air. We are looking forward to next year's already and bringing back the Outdoor Expo and hopefully a more expanded kids area! Thank you to all that helped pull this together in 4 weeks and thank you to all of the small business owners who participated! We couldn't have done it without you! New CDC Guidelines Effective May 14, 2021 The Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced that individuals who are fully vaccinated can resume activities that were done before the pandemic without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal or territorial laws, including local business and workplace guidance. Earlier this month, Governor Steve Sisolak announced Nevada would align its guidelines to follow CDC recommendations regarding mask mandates.
According to the CDC’s announcement Thursday, individuals who are fully vaccinated may now: Resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.
Regardless of full vaccination, the CDC stated individuals will still need to follow guidance at your workplace and local businesses. The CDC also recommends continuing to take steps to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask when required by a business or entity. It asks people to take caution when the onset of COVID-19 symptoms appear and, if they do, to get tested and maintain distance from others. The CDC also recommends that people with conditions or who take medications that weaken the immune system speak with their healthcare provider to discuss best practice.

The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce reminds businesses that while the mask mandate may have eased, capacity restrictions and other measures as outlined within Clark County’s COVID-19 Mitigation Plan are still in place.
Getting our businesses back open to full capacity is contingent on local vaccination rates. We encourage anyone interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine and helping our local businesses get back to 100% to schedule an appointment today.

Eligible employers, such as businesses and tax-exempt organizations with fewer than 500 employees and certain governmental employers, can receive a tax credit for providing paid time off for each employee receiving the vaccine and for any time needed to recover from the vaccine. For example, if an eligible employer offers employees a paid day off in order to get vaccinated, the employer can receive a tax credit equal to the wages paid to employees for that day (up to certain limits).
The additional details, provided in a fact sheet released today by the IRS (and available in English and Spanish), spell out some basic facts about the employers eligible for the tax credits. It also provides information on how these employers may claim the credit for leave paid to employees related to COVID-19 vaccinations.
For more details on how the paid leave tax credits from the American Rescue Plan will work for employers to enable employees to get vaccinated and recover from after-effects of vaccination, as well as for other purposes
