Regarding Safe Trick-or-Treat... |

Our Safe Trick-or-Treat map is in the works! It's great to see how Safe Trick-or-Treat has spread throughout town! Planning on setting up a booth downtown to hand out candy? There is no fee to participate, so come on down and set up anytime after 2:30 on the 31st. If you're planning on selling food items then you need to call or email us ASAP so we can ensure all the necessary permits are in place prior to the event. |

We still have a few spots left to fill for our Mugshot Mondays!
Simply send us a photo of you (you can include your team, coworkers, friends, family, pets, whomever) at your business with a mug of your choice. Also send us a brief blurb about you and/or your business. Here are a few ideas: When did you start your business? How long have you lived here? What is your favorite thing about living in Plumas County? Tell us a brief story, your favorite joke (keep it clean!), or a motto you live by. Make it fun and make it interesting!

The Plumas Co. Museum Association is sponsoring a presentation and book signing by historian and author, Richard Burrill. Richard will be discussing his new book, Unvanquished: Ishi's Story of Survival, Resilience, and Forgiveness, which chronicles the significant events and challenges that befell Ishi during his first four months in the progressive and tumultuous City of San Francisco in 1911. Join us on Friday, October 27th at 6:00 p.m. at the Quincy Library Conference Room.

New Program Available at FRC

FRC to now offer Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program, which offers a discounted tuition rate for qualifying students! The application opened on October 1 and will close on October 31 for the upcoming spring semester, with only a limited number of WUE program spots available.
AB1998 authorized a select number of California Community Colleges to participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program, through the Western Interstate Exchange Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) providing discounted nonresident tuition fees for a limited number of qualifying students from qualifying Western States. Students approved to participate in the WUE Program will be granted a tuition rate of 150% the California state rate, equaling $69/unit
