Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is Still Digging |
|
|
Winter is here, but we’re still digging! The mild weather (so far) may not be ideal for ski season, but it has allowed us to extend the trail building season on Mount Hough, where our Quincy crew is working on a new singletrack connection between the bottom of the Indian Falls Ridge trail and Quarry Road. When the trail is finished early this summer, it will add over two miles of singletrack to the Yuba Expeditions’ IFR shuttle drop, which is currently available as a private shuttle. The longterm plan is to connect the bottom of IFR back into the Hough trail, providing a new top-to-bottom Hough shuttle run. Head over to yubaexpeditions.com for more details on all the shuttle options, or email the shop to reserve a van for your private group later this spring. Single seat shuttle reservations will re-open in late April or early May, depending on the weather. Want to support our work this winter? Check out sierratrails.org/donate for how to get involved.
