CalTrans Conducting Disparity Study
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is excited to invite business owners and other stakeholders to four (4) stakeholder engagement sessions to provide opportunities to help Caltrans improve its procurement policies and its inclusion of person of color (POC)-, woman-, and service-disabled veteran (SDV)-owned businesses in its contracting and procurement.
Caltrans has retained BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) to conduct a disparity study to assess outcomes for POC-, woman-, and SDV-owned businesses in Caltrans' contracting and procurement. Caltrans invites you to participate in one of four (4) stakeholder engagement session where you will be able to learn more about the study and tell us about your experiences doing business in California, which will be integrated into the study. BBC is seeking insights related to:
* Perceptions about and experiences with doing business in California and working with public agencies; * Any barriers or difficulties competing for Caltrans' contracts or procurements; and * Any discrimination or other barriers in the California marketplace.
The meetings will be hosted online via Zoom on April 15 and 17 at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., so mark your calendars!
Please visit the disparity study website at https://dot.ca.gov/programs/civil-rights/disparity-study or e-mail CaltransDisparity@bbcresearch.com for more information.
