BOOK OF THE MONTH
We've teamed up with Jean Strable, Director of the Norwalk Easter Public Library, to bring you a featured book each month. Recommended books center on business topics, and this month Jean has chosen You're Not Listening: What You're Missing and Why It Matters by Kate Murphy . |
|
|
| Jean says
Listening is a huge component of successful communication. Murphy review and explores several common sense concepts and tips for listening. Some of the content may serve as a reminder to the reader, but it is an enjoyable read about this important topic.
The print version is available to borrow from the Norwalk Easter Public Library or eBook or e-audiobook using your library card and the free Libby app. |

Speaker suggestions now open
The Business Record is bringing back our 90 Ideas in 90 Minutes event, and we need your help in our hunt for nine exciting speakers to present 10 of their best ideas.
At the event this fall, nine Iowa leaders will share 10 of their best ideas ― both big and small ― that can be applied to any organization. In a fast-paced discussion, each leader will present their top ideas and field questions from the audience.
There’s such a great pool of leaders to choose from, more than we can fit in one event, but we want your help in identifying potential speakers. Help us make the event great by suggesting a leader you’d like to hear from at the event.
To make a suggestion, simply fill out the online form before 11:59 p.m. on April 19. |
