KHS Theatre Invites Audiences on a Magical Journey with “Into the Woods”
Kirksville, MO - Tickets are now on sale for the Kirksville High School Music and Theatre production of Stephen Sondheim’s beloved musical, Into the Woods, November 21-24. This enchanting tale weaves together the stories of beloved fairy tale characters including Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel, and Jack (of Beanstalk fame). With rich music and beautiful storytelling, Into the Woods offers a fresh perspective on the classic tales we all know and love while exploring the consequences of wishes and the complexities of life’s journey.
Over 50 local teens will be involved in the production, either onstage or behind the scenes. Performances will take place at the William Matthew Middle School auditorium on Thursday, November 21 - Saturday, November 23 at 7pm and Sunday, November 24 at 2pm. The box office will open one hour before show time and the doors will open 30 minutes before show time.
All tickets are for an assigned, reserved seat so plan ahead with your family and friends to get seats together. Tickets for the show are $12 for general admission and $7 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at cur8.com/projects/KHSTheatre, at the high school office, or at the door.

This committee helps to keep the membership and community informed of civic issues at the city, county, and state levels. This committee hosts The Government in Focus (TGIF) Seminars, and local Candidate’s Forums. Field representatives keep us apprised of issues at the federal level. The Governmental Affairs Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 9:00 am at the Chamber of Commerce between the months of September and May.

This committee supports the economic & community development projects of other local entities. The Economic Development Committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 8:30 am at the Chamber of Commerce.

The Missouri Livestock Symposium is the premier educational event and trade show for livestock producers.
The Missouri Livestock Symposium opens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, with our trade show opening at 4 pm and a free beef supper at 6 pm. Our evening program begins at 7 pm. The keynote speaker is Cassandra Fish, a 30-year professional in the livestock and futures industry. Her daily column, The Beef, is read and relied on by thousands of industry professionals.
On Saturday our trade show opens up again at 8 am with educational sessions running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A free luncheon will begin at noon. Our 1 pm keynote speaker is Ron Hanson, Harlan Agribusiness Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His topic will be Empowering Families for Passing On Their Missouri Farm With Success.
All events take place at Matthew Middle School, located at 1515 S. Cottage Grove, Kirksville.

4-mile run and 1.5-mile fun run/walk
Various age divisions - Men & women (Ages: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)
All registered runners and walkers receive a long-sleeved T-shirt, jingle bells, and postrace refreshments. All entrants are eligible for additional prizes awarded by drawing following the race. Top three runners in each age division receive medals, and the overall fastest male and female runners in the 4-mile and 1.5-mile races receive trophies. Postrace stretch clinic provided by Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO).

Salvation Army and Radio Park Food Drive: Help make this a wonderful holiday for those in need, and bring a toy, three canned foot items, or additional donations when you enter on race day at the TCC or DuKum Inn. We will have food and toy boxes to collect our gifts. Please note - Deduct $3 from entry fee if you donate three non-perishable food items at registration. If registering by mail, indicate that food items are to come later, and deduct $3 from entry fee.

This committee serves as the goodwill arm of the Chamber and welcomes new and expanding businesses and services. They volunteer at Business after Hours and Chamber events and help members celebrate groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings. They promote the image and activities of the Chamber in a positive way by connecting personally with members. Chamber Ambassadors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am at the Chamber of Commerce.
