12/4/2024 -12/12/2024 | New Mexico Nonprofits! We’ve heard you when you say you are burnt out and tired of power holders resisting change at the expense of New Mexico's social sector. We’ve seen the passion of individuals and organizations striving to make a difference via nonprofits. The desire to transform ideas, practices, policies, and culture to better serve New Mexico’s communities is strong. There's so much possibility for positive change through things like updated grant processes, policy reforms, inclusive advocacy, shared leadership, and anti-oppression practices. The missing piece? A shared vision for New Mexico’s social sector. Without it, we can't move forward together, and too many words have already been spoken without real action. We want to create the space for discussing what kind of sector we all want and how we're going to really take action to get there. Join us for a free conversation this December as we work toward developing a statewide vision for New Mexico’s social sector to become equitable, rooted in justice, and have a larger impact for communities. But wait, hasn't this conversation happened before? Not like this! While talks have happened on a small scale, with select groups of people sharing their thoughts and ideas, the conversation we’re hosting is for everyone. These sessions aren’t just for figure heads and spokespeople. Those who don’t usually get to attend conversations like these are especially encouraged to attend. Too frequently, these conversations have consisted of people in positions of power speaking for others. Everyone's thoughts, ideas, dreams, and visions are vital. Four facilitated sessions will be held virtually, on Zoom, so that more people may take part. There will be no boring Powerpoints, slide decks, or lectures that put everyone to sleep – these sessions are about sharing your voice! Sign up for one of the following: • Wednesday, December 4: 8–9:30 am MST • Friday, December 6: 11:30 am–1 pm MST • Wednesday, December 11: 6–7:30 pm MST • Thursday, December 12 : 3:30–5 pm MST More Info / RSVP here These free and open conversations are generously supported by Mind the Gap Fund, a donor advised fund committed to systems change and equity in the nonprofit sector. We’d also like to thank the following event partners as of 10/1/24: Albuquerque Community Foundation, Eliza Kretzmann Consulting, New Mexico Thrives, and Ripple Catalyst Studios. more info... |

12/13/2024 | Roberto Minczuk Music Director Mozart Serenade No. 10, “Gran Partita” Among his most beloved works, Mozart’s “Gran Partita” is a cornerstone of works written primarily for woodwinds and brass. Aside from its high standing with audiences, the work is also notable for featuring the basset horn, a member of the clarinet family but pitched a perfect fourth lower than a clarinet, which was a favorite instrument of Mozart’s. Felix Mendelssohn and Richard Strauss would later foster a brief revival for this rare instrument. The Brass will bring festive sounds just in time for the holidays. more info... |
