The city of Buckeye has partnered with dozens of local businesses for the Industry Specific “Reduce the Commute” Job Fair. 

 

This job fair will feature companies in the Advanced Manufacturing and Energy sectors. If you are a company that falls under either one of these industries and are looking to onboard more employees, register today!

 

When: Wednesday, April 19th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Where: Coyote Library, located at 21699 W. Yuma Rd.

Celebrate Earth Day at Skyline Regional Park
 
Celebrate Earth Day Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to Noon at Skyline Regional Park for a free Earth Day celebration!
 
Come out and enjoy fun and kid-friendly activities around the park including a self-guided hike to learn more about sustainability, our desert and the animals living in it. Vendors will be on-hand with information on water conservation and recycling. Information booths will be on-site with ways to protect, preserve and conserve nature. Other activities include a crafts table, educational nature displays, giveaways and much more!
 
Make sure to bring closed-toed shoes, wear that sunscreen and enjoy a fun filled day enjoying what Buckeye’s Skyline Regional Park has to offer.
 
Skyline Regional Park is 8,700 acres of pristine Sonoran Desert with over 20 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails to explore. Enjoy Skyline to the fullest with free admission and a variety of outdoor classes year-round. The park is located two miles north of the I-10/Watson Rd. interchange at 2600 N. Watson Rd. Buckeye, AZ 85396.
 
Due to construction at I-10 and Watson Road, you must access Skyline Regional Park from the westbound offramp at I-10.

The Agribusiness & Water Council of Arizona is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating water and agribusiness interests.
This meeting is for all growers who are interested in finding opportunities to save on their water use.
Designed to increase irrigation water application efficiency in crop production by 20% or more. Approved grantees will receive up to $1,500 per acre, for a maximum reimbursement of $1,000,000 toward the purchase and installation of a system from an approved vendor.

Arbor Day

Wednesday, April 26, at 11:15 a.m. join us at the Downtown Library for a Special Arbor Day Storytime, where we will be planting a tree in Kell Park!

Vice Mayor Hess will read the City’s Official Arbor Day Proclamation, then we will head inside for a story and a fun Arbor Day craft activity!

This Special Storytime, in partnership with the Parks Department, is a unique opportunity for you and your little ones to make a lasting memory at Kell Park for years to come!
