City offices closed for Labor Day holiday, Trash and recycling service not affected In observance of the Labor Day holiday, all city offices, libraries and facilities will close on Monday, September 2. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3. Trash and recycling services are not affected by this closure. Residents with service scheduled for Monday should place their containers on the street before 5:30 a.m. Even though city offices are closed, Buckeye’s Labor Day Celebration will take place at the Buckeye Aquatics Center. From noon to 5 p.m. bring your lawn chairs, towels and suits for the last pool party of the summer. Admission is $2, show your military ID and get four free entries.
