12/7/2024 -12/8/2024 | ARTEAST represents an exciting collaborative effort between the Edwardsville Arts Center (EAC) in Edwardsville, IL, and the Jacoby Arts Center (JAC) in Alton, IL to rekindle ARTEAST, a self-guided artist studio and art organization tour that ran for 15 years prior to its discontinuation in 2012. This initiative is designed to spotlight and celebrate the vibrant artistic community within Madison County, IL. By showcasing the diverse talents of local artists and art organizations, the tour aims to enhance regional visibility of artists and foster deeper connections between artists and the community. The event will unfold over a weekend-long event, featuring a series of art exhibitions and art technique demonstrations across various locations throughout Madison County. Scheduled for December 7 & 8, 2024 from 11am-5pm, the event will provide an immersive experience for attendees, allowing them to explore personal artist studios, meet artists, visit local art organizations, interact with live artist demonstrations, and purchase unique works of art creating a dynamic and enriching cultural experience. To facilitate navigation and enhance the visitor experience, a detailed digital map will be developed in collaboration with the region's destination marketing and management organization, Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau.
