Then step outside and look through telescopes while the ASTRO society takes you on a journey of our night sky.

We will go at a pace that allows for everyone to enjoy themselves. Bring plenty of water and snacks. End time is an estimate and will depend on the pace of the group. Best Best for ages 6-12 who enjoy spending time on the trails, but all ages are welcome. Children and their grown ups should attend together. Meet outside the Visitor Center.

ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

The purpose of this training is to prepare the general public how to handle the threat of an Active Shooter wherever you might be. The class will teach you how to participate in your own survival, while leading others to safety. Though no one can guarantee success in this type of situation, this set of skills will greatly increase the odds of survival should anyone face  this form of disaster.

2025 Teller County Reappraisal Meeting

The Greater Woodland Park Chamber has partnered with the Teller County Assessor’s Office to offer an informational meeting on the 2025 Reappraisals.  THIS MEETING IS FOR RESIDENTS OF TELLER COUNTY.
 Presenters - Carol Kittelson, Assessor
Michael Akana, Deputy Assessor
 
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the state of the Market on June 30, 2024 for the purposes of valuation for Notices of Value, which will be mailed May 1, 2025.
 
Discussed by the presenters will be methodology; market trends from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024; and current market trends. This will cover the Teller County market for Residential, Vacant Land, and Commercial.

Journaling helps us reflect and expand our perspectives of the natural world around us and our place within it. All materials will be provided for you; you are welcome to bring your own journal if you’d prefer.
