Sergio's Mexican Restaurant will be catering a taco bar for the event. Southside Lumber is our sponsor for the event. Pre-registration ends on August 20th. | 8/24/2023 | The 2023 Southern Illinois Legislative Summit will take place on August 24th at the Pavilion. This event is an informative discussion between Federal & Springfield leaders, local elected officials, and the Southern Illinois business community. Attendees share lunch, information, and political awareness of issues facing our area. Elected officials are encouraged to attend and present about programs and efforts that impact the Southern Illinois region. Members of the media are included in this event and attendee questions will be screened before the Q&A session. Schedule:11:00 am: Lunch 11:30 am: Legislative Updates followed by Q&A session. After the Legislative updates, networking with community and state leaders will take place till 1:30 pm. Menu: Provided by Bake Me Happy, Food Co. Roasted Chicken Piccata, Pot Roast with Gravy, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Honey and Herb Glazed Baby Carrots, Side Salad with Ranch or House Vinaigrette dressing and all fixings, Dessert, Tea with sweetener options, and Water.
