Described by Nightlife as packing "a powerful punch with a hurt-so-good feeling", this Southern Illinois blues trio rocks and rolls under the arrangement of 40-year Chicago blues veteran Johnny Shea (lead guitar) and a thundering rhythm section of Uncle Lou Thery (bass), Kyle Docherty (drums), formerly a staple in the Nashville music scene manning the kit for country star Jeremy Kent, and Omni recording artist Chris Thornton (saxophone/vocals).

Join us for a Panel Discussion Regarding New Illinois Business Laws for 2024!

This discussion will focus on new laws and legal developments that will affect Illinois employers in 2024 and beyond. 

Topics wil include the new Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting law that will impact all LLCs and corporations, the Paid Leave for All Workers Act, New Pay Transparency Laws (that take effect in 2025), and more. There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the discussion.

Panel guests include (more guests may be added at a later date):

Martin Parsons:  Owner of Legal Advocacy Headquarters in Carterville, IL. He primarily focuses on assisting entrepreneurs proactively protect their small businesses and nonprofits. He is a veteran and is also an alum and adjunct professor at SIU School of Law.
 
Casey Parker: Director of Career Services at SIU School of Law. SIU LAW alum. Previously she served as the Coordinator for the Office of Equity and Compliance at SIU for twelve years. She also spent time working with the Department of Corrections, the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the City of Carbondale.
