4/20/2024 | Come on out to Thousand Hills State Park to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday April 20th from 10am-1pm! Local organizations will have stations and activities set up around the beach parking lot and the paved trail. Come connect with the earth and nature through unique opportunities facilitated by community members! There will be activities and educational booths for all ages at this free event! Missouri Department of Conservation will be providing fishing opportunities during this event (there will be directional signs up in the park). Truman's Sustainability Office will have battery recycling available at their booth for any single use (NOT rechargeable), household batteries. No car batteries, phone batteries, computer batteries, etc. This event is weather permitting. Registration for the tournament will start at 5:30 p.m. First hand will be dealt at 6:30 pm. Initial buy-in is $25 per person with buy back options available. $850 in guaranteed cash prizes await the first, second and third place finishers. 1st Prize is $500 plus a Texas Hold’em Trophy, 2nd Place is $250 and 3rd Place is $100.
