12/6/2024 -12/7/2024 | The Missouri Livestock Symposium is the premier educational event and trade show for livestock producers. The Missouri Livestock Symposium opens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, with our trade show opening at 4 pm and a free beef supper at 6 pm. Our evening program begins at 7 pm. The keynote speaker is Cassandra Fish, a 30-year professional in the livestock and futures industry. Her daily column, The Beef, is read and relied on by thousands of industry professionals. On Saturday our trade show opens up again at 8 am with educational sessions running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A free luncheon will begin at noon. Our 1 pm keynote speaker is Ron Hanson, Harlan Agribusiness Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His topic will be Empowering Families for Passing On Their Missouri Farm With Success. All events take place at Matthew Middle School, located at 1515 S. Cottage Grove, Kirksville. All entrants are eligible for additional prizes awarded by drawing following the race.
