| 12/6/2024 | Google’s Musical Holiday Lights returns to the Cross Kirkland Corridor very soon, giving families an exciting illumination experience. Lighting ceremony: On Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m., 10,000 LED holiday lights will be switched on for Google’s Musical Holiday Lights. The lights are synchronized to holiday music, and custom-programmed by Google Kirkland engineers. As part of the festivities, there will be carolers cookies, a photobooth, and a petting zoo. This free, family-friendly event is an annual highlight, showcasing the creativity and holiday spirit of the Kirkland community. While the lighting ceremony is one night only, the illuminations will be available for viewing every evening from Dec. 6-Jan. 7. Kids can run the 5k or a .3 mile run in Marina Park. The 12k course will lead you down the shores of Lake Washington then onto the Kirkland Cross Corridor Trail back to Marina Park on a fast and furious down hill!. 5K runners will be challenged with a challenging hill at the start of the course, but the finish will also be a fast run down Market into the Marina Park.
