| 4/22/2023 | Lassen Family Services' 10th annual Walk A Mile event will take place on Saturday, April 22nd at Memorial Park!
  Join us for a 5K color run (or walk) through beautiful Susanville and help build a better community! If you would like to participate in the 1-mile walk, this is a FREE option that will allow you to raise awareness and get covered in color powder! The funds raised from the 5K will go to Lassen Resiliency for training Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE)! Currently, if a survivor chooses to participate in an exam following sexual assault, due to lack of local SANE nurses, law enforcement or an advocate will drive the survivor to Redding or Reno for the examination. In order to collect the most evidence, the survivor is asked not to shower, brush their teeth, or remove their clothes until after the exam. Funding local SANE nurses will help prevent further victim re-traumatization and help our community members heal in their own environment. This years’ show will feature Home, Garden, Recreation, Wedding vendors and activities for the kids all in one location! Stop by to see what’s new in the community and get inspired this Spring.
