3/31/2023 | The City of Ottawa will be conducting a citywide clean-up weekend for residents living within the city limits on Friday, March 31st through Saturday, April 1, 2023. Dumpsters will be available Friday at 8:00 am through 3:00 pm on Saturday at the following locations: • Near Franklin County Recycling Center (2000 Block Elm Street); • Parking lot west of City Hall (101 South Hickory Street); • Salt storage shed (1300 block of north Cherry Street east side) **Tires are acceptable only at this location** Identification will be required for city residency to drop off tires. No commercial tire drop offs will be accepted. Large appliances will not be accepted at any of these locations. TV’s, computers, microwaves are allowed but nothing with freon. Absolutely no batteries and no liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters. Oil based paints can be disposed of at the Franklin County Recycle Center (2039 South Elm Street) Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm with a maximum of 10 gallons per customer for Franklin County residents. Latex paint is not acceptable. Simply add kitty litter or something similar to dry it out. Once it is no longer a liquid form, the dried paint can be tossed in the trash. more info... |
