4/1/2023 | The City of Ottawa will be conducting a citywide clean-up weekend for residents living within the city limits on Friday, March 31st through Saturday, April 1, 2023. Dumpsters will be available Friday at 8:00 am through 3:00 pm on Saturday at the following locations: • Near Franklin County Recycling Center (2000 Block Elm Street); • Parking lot west of City Hall (101 South Hickory Street); • Salt storage shed (1300 block of north Cherry Street east side) **Tires are acceptable only at this location** Identification will be required for city residency to drop off tires. No commercial tire drop offs will be accepted. Large appliances will not be accepted at any of these locations. TV’s, computers, microwaves are allowed but nothing with freon. Absolutely no batteries and no liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters. Oil based paints can be disposed of at the Franklin County Recycle Center (2039 South Elm Street) Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm with a maximum of 10 gallons per customer for Franklin County residents. 4/2/2023 | Walk along and experience the life of Jesus Christ relived as depicted in scripture. Performed the weekend before Resurrection Sunday, in the beautiful outdoors in the heart of Ottawa, Kansas. The play will feature a free 45-minute walking tour, which will not exceed 2 miles in hiking. Walking with Jesus includes seven unique scenes that portray key events during Jesus' life on Earth, performed by a local team of volunteers. A guide will escort the audience to each scene, within City Park. "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.'"
