There will be kids activities, tours, talks, demonstrations and more at the all day event, celebrating 64 years of Canada's leading Astrophysical observatory site. Located at 717 White Lake Road, the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory is a naturally occurring radio silent site. Please power OFF all electronics (airplane mode is not sufficient) before entering the site. We will be hosting talks, tours and demonstrations from 10:00am-5:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024. | 9/22/2024 | On Sunday September 22nd the Peach City Community Radio Society, CFUZ 92.9 FM, will be holding their Eleventh Annual Okanagan Vinyl Festival. First held in 2012, the event is eagerly anticipated each fall by analog music enthusiasts from across our region. Okanagan Vinyl Fest is one of the largest single day record and audio gear sales in the Interior. This year vendors from the lower mainland, the Okanagan and Alberta will be in attendance. Vinyl collectors and music lovers enjoy crate digging through the wide selection of albums found at over 40 tables. Okanagan Vinyl Fest is one of CFUZ’s major fundraising events and helps keep the 100% volunteer operated FM broadcasting radio station on the air. more info... |
