Where: HOTWORX Lino Lakes (7107 Otter Lake Road)

Details: HOTWORX will be hosting a Grand Opening throughout the day on Friday, October 13th to welcome visitors, and future HOTWORX members, to their facility. Light snacks and beverages will be served. The first 50 people that sign-up for HOTWORX will receive a gift bag. Ribbon Cutting will take place at 4pm followed by continued celebration. We look forward to seeing you at the Grand Opening to support this business.

Bobbing for Pumpkins
Go pumpkin picking at the Rookery! Wade in the splash pool, or swim some laps and pick your pumpkin. There will also be a pumpkin carving station, a bounce house, and carnival games.

This is a fun family event, and perfect for children of all ages. Be sure to pre-register to guarantee your spot and a pumpkin. After registration closes, pumpkins will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Plan to come out Saturday morning October 14th and have breakfast with us! We will be serving an All You Can Eat Buffet that includes ~ scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, French toast, coffee, orange juice & milk. Cost is $10 with kids 5 & under free. We will have I Support Lexington Fire T-Shirts for sale for $20 and our 2024 Fire Department Calendar available for $15 Proceeds benefit the Lexington Fire Department.

The Circle Pines/Lexington Lions will also be there serving their famous BOOYA! You can purchase it by the quart.

Speaker BioCaleb Wedger is a decorated veteran of the 133rd MN Air National Guard, where He served a notable decade-long career as a C-130 Crew Chief. Following his service, Caleb transitioned into the manufacturing sector and played a vital role inexpanding a small manufacturing operation from $9 million to $24 million in revenue over 3years. Caleb is currently a professional leadership coach and small business owner, founding Coyote Leadership Group in 2022 with the aim to equip today's leaders with the tools to wagewar on mediocrity.

Caleb is passionate about raising awareness for veteran mental health issues. In 2021, he made a significant impact with his participation in '100 to Many,' an event where he ran and walked 100 miles straight in 36 hours, bringing attention to the tragic reality of the 100 Minnesota veterans who take their own lives each year.

Caleb calls Ham Lake home with his wife and best friend, Hannah. Along with their two young children, they stay active as community members, coaching youth sports, helping out at Lino Lakes Elementary School, and enjoying hiking adventures together.

Gentiva Health Services is an approved provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This course is approved for 1.0 contact hours.

Join us for the Scarecrow Crawl!

The Rookery is hosting its first ever Scarecrow Crawl event beginning Wednesday, October 25th.  Businesses, organizations, groups, families, and individuals are invited to create a scarecrow and place it in front of the Rookery. The Scarecrow Crawl viewing begins on Wednesday, October 25th at 4:30pm and continues through Wednesday, November 1st.  Rookery Members, and visitors, will vote on their favorite scarecrow.

  • Registered scarecrows can be assembled or dropped off on Wednesday, October 25 prior to 4:00pm. A metal post is provided. If you have any questions or would like to pick up a T-frame post (free of charge), please email Angie Thorson at athorson@linolakes.us.
  • The Rookery staff will provide a sign including the name of the company or group who created each scarecrow.
  • This event is FREE and open to the public. Local businesses and organizations welcome!

Join us in your favorite costume for a night of fun! We will have a variety of themed carnival games and crafts! Refreshments will be provided, and you can even take a photo with our special photo backdrop.

Note: Parents/guardians are encouraged to dress in their favorite costume as well. Please make sure all costumes are family appropriate, no costumes with weapons. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 8 years and younger are welcome.

6th Annual Halloween Hustle
This 5K run will start at Centerville Elementary, run out the trail and back. Bring the entire family; pets are welcome (no pets in the school). Dress up in costume if you'd like, and join us for a fun-filled morning. There will be a kid turnaround station about half mile up, so all ages can join. 

We'll have some fun kids activities in the school after the run until 10:30am. Alumni activities and events will take place after the run, so watch for updates on the Centennial Alumni Association Facebook page. 

Centerville Parks and Recreation is hosting a Trunk or Treat and Touch event in the Centerville Elementary parking lot, 9:30am - 12pm. Enjoy treats and get up and close with service vehicles.

Participants registered by October 12 will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. No guarantee thereafter. Indicate t-shirt size when registering.

The Halloween Hustle 5K is a fun family event co-hosted by Community Education and the Centennial Alumni Association. It's a great chance to wear your best costumes and enjoy a morning stroll or jog around Centerville Elementary. There will also be alumni activities and a Trunk or Treat and Touch big truck event after the run. Proceeds will benefit the Centennial School District and the Centennial Alumni Scholarship Fund. The Halloween Hustle is held Saturday, October 28 at Centerville Elementary.
