The Lost Sierra Bike Team is gearing up for its spring season, which is April 3- July 16! But you have to sign up and the last opportunity is Thursday, March 16 at 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds. See details in the flyer below.

All skill levels welcome! Come experience the outdoors in a whole new way while having fun with friends on two wheels! While having a ton of fun, you will challenge yourself through racing, furthering your technical skills, fitness, meet new friends, or explore new trails!

The series will provide opportunities to meet new staff and current board members, learn more about the mission of Friends of Plumas Wilderness, its current projects, including the Protect Plumas initiative
and proposed Feather River Canyons National Monument campaign, and learn how they can get involved in supporting local public lands conservation and advocacy.

The forum series will take place throughout Plumas County on Monday evenings during March as follows:
March 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Taylorsville Historic Hall – postponed due to weather, reschedule date TBD.
March 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the Portola Veterans Memorial Hall
March 20 from 6-8 p.m. at the Quincy Public Library
March 27  from 5-6 p.m. at the Mount Lassen Theater in Chester (as a part of the Chester Town Hall).

Pirates Past Noon KIDS is an adaptation of the fourth of Mary Pope Osborne’s award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series, which has sold more than 100 million copies and is available in more than a hundred countries around the world. This time around, Jack and Annie’s tree house takes them to an exotic island with pirates, where the two discover the power of friendship and the simple pleasures in everyday life.

Magic Tree House:

The two siblings return to visit the magic tree house on a dreary, rainy day. They find a book where the sun is shining and the waves are crashing, so they wish to travel to this tropical place. They realize that they are in the eighteenth-century Caribbean, the time of pirates! The siblings meet Captain Bones, a mean old pirate who captures the two and forces them to help him find buried treasure.
