OnPulse with GCU: The Value of Change Management

This session will be led by Tammy McGarity, DNP, MSN, RN, NEA-BC. Open to all healthcare workers.

Dr. McGarity earned her DNP at Grand Canyon University and her MSN from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX. She is currently the San Antonio director at the Center for Nursing Excellence at University Health System. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, American Organization of Nurse Executives and American Nurses Association.

These complimentary, virtual OnPulse with GCU sessions are designed to increase employee retention and develop staff skillsets that positively impact patient experiences, quality care and internal team culture.

CBEST Prep Session: Reading/Writing

In this session we will be presenting materials to help prepare you for the CBEST in the areas of reading and writing. We will go over reading and writing strategies and look at some of the test questions to help you prepare and feel confident when you take this test.

This webinar will be led by Dr. Catheryn Reardon.

Dr. Reardon is an adjunct professor and credentialed teacher from Southern California, where she has been teaching for over 15 years. She currently teaches high school English at an online public charter school, and undergraduate courses in Education and Psychology at several universities. She also works as a site supervisor in the College of Education at GCU where she helps to prepare future educators. She earned her teaching credentials from Cal State University, Fullerton, where she holds CLEAR teaching credentials in both Multi-Subjects and Single Subject English. She also earned a B.A. in Communications from Cal State University, Fullerton, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Integrating Technology, Learning, and Psychology from Grand Canyon University.

In this session we will be presenting materials to help prepare you for the CBEST in the area of mathematics. You will learn key strategies and approaches to maximize your grade for the CBEST Mathematics test. We will overview concepts and create focused study habits, learning hints that can help you feel more confident in Mathematics.

This webinar will be led by Andrew Choate.

Andrew has been teaching math for four years. He is passionate about continued professional development and has a strong understanding of the significance of community. Andrew holds a cleared credential in California and is a Certified Google Educator level 2.
