Empire Theatre Company Presents: HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING
Empire Theatre Company will present Will Arbery’s thought-provoking drama Heroes of the Fourth Turning digitally in October of 2020.
It's nearing midnight in Wyoming, where four young conservatives have gathered at a backyard after-party. They’ve returned home to toast their mentor Gina, newly inducted as president of a tiny Catholic college. But as their reunion spirals into spiritual chaos and clashing generational politics, it becomes less a celebration than a vicious fight to be understood. On a chilly night in the middle of America, Will Arbery’s haunting play offers grace and disarming clarity, speaking to the heart of a country at war with itself.
Heroes of the Fourth Turning will be presented October 1st – 3rd, October 8th – 10th, & October 15th – 17th. This performance will be presented via private Vimeo link, emailed to patrons on the day of the performance. Tickets are $16 for students/military members and $20 for adults. Tickets can be purchased weekdays at 701-746-5500 or anytime at www.empireartscenter.com. Heroes of the Fourth Turning features: Walter Criswell as Justin, Hannah Hill as Emily, Daniel Dutot as Kevin, Gina Uhlir (Empire Theatre Company’s 2020-2021 Artist-in-Residence) as Teresa, and Nicole Quam as Gina. This production is directed by Chris Berg and stage managed by Abigail Plumley, with costumes, set construction, and set painting by Amy Lyste, and sound design and operation by Mitchel Rieth. Heroes of the Fourth Turning will be filmed by Twin Tandem Studios LLC.
In light of the novel COVID-19 pandemic, the Empire Theatre Company has opted to present this production completely digitally. There will be no open performances of this production.
