9/10/2024 | The Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) for the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (WHCC) is a volunteer body of WHCC Members who meet monthly to review projects and legislation which represents and advocates the interests of the business community. The committee is comprised of Chamber Members who have an interest in city planning, development, and/or legislative concerns at local and state levels. GAC meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 4-6 PM. If you are interested in joining GAC and/or attending a meeting, contact us here. |
9/12/2024 | MRC meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11:30am-12:30pm. Location: Zoom This committee works to retain and increase membership by assessing and accommodating the needs of the members. Committee members are asked to attend the monthly committee meetings, as well as monthly networking events (morning, noon, and evening). Committee members also make calls and send letters to new members and six-month anniversary members. |

9/26/2024 | In preparation for the highly anticipated November election, WeHo for the People (WHFTP) will host a West Hollywood City Council Candidate Forum on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This in-person event will be held at Beaches Tropicana, located at 8911 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069. WeHo for the People is a non-partisan coalition formed by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in partnership with local neighborhood watch groups and resident associations. United by a shared commitment to the future of West Hollywood, the coalition provides a platform for residents and businesses to discuss the most pressing issues facing the community. Coalition members include Cynthia-Sunset Neighborhood Watch, Eastside Neighborhood Watch, Kings Road North Neighborhood Watch, N. Harper & Sweetzer Avenues Neighborhood Watch, Norma Triangle Neighborhood Watch, “Owls” Neighborhood Watch, WeHo Plummer Park, Tri-West Residents Association, West Hollywood Heights Neighborhood Association, West Hollywood West Residents Association and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. This non-partisan forum aims to offer residents and businesses a chance to hear directly from all nine candidates running for City Council. Each candidate will be asked questions on topics identified as top priorities for the community, including homelessness, public safety, economic sustainability, and affordable housing. Throughout the evening, candidates will answer questions based on the top priorities, and each candidate will also have an opportunity to make a closing statement, providing a final pitch to the attendees. The event promises to be fair and impartial, with candidates receiving questions in randomized order to ensure equity.
