Independence Day is observed every year on the 4th of July.   July 4th  is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.

Celebrating 59 years in 2025, this event features fun for the whole family. There's sunrise yoga at 7 a.m., a fishing derby, pie eating contest, watermelon eating contest, costume parade, karaoke and more! Vendors are set up with food and drinks (including beer) and this year you can stop by the Arts and Crafts Market and the Children's Entrepreneur Market because they are also setting up in the same area.

In recognition of their service to our country, all active and retired military and first responders receive one half off regular price admission with proper ID on our nation’s birthday. Come on up to the Dinosaur Resource Center and enjoy a day of Dinosaur fun with family and friends. The last entry time to purchase admissions to the museum is 30 minutes before closing.

Learn how to fly fish and how it’s different from other styles like bait fishing, trolling, and spinning. Use your new or seasoned skills to try to catch a fish at one of Mueller’s favorite ponds. All gear is provided. Best for ages 9 and older.

The Ute Pass Symphony Guild is partnering with the City of Woodland Park’s Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration! Our annual concert will take place in Memorial Park on Friday, JULY 4, 2025, following the City event. Vendors, food truck and beverage partners who participate in the daytime celebration will stay into the evening to provide a fun, family event for concert goers.

July 5, 2025 is an inaugural musical festival in Woodland Park, CO presented by the America's Mountain Festival and featuring a diverse lineup of Western/Red Dirt performers, including Michael Martin Murphey, Curtis Grimes and Jon Wolfe.
The festival headliner will be announced mid-January 2025.

Join volunteer naturalists Eileen and Carrie on a 2-mile moderate hike on an ascent to the highest point in the park. We will stop to sketch some of the park’s natural beauty guided by local artist Cyndi Deswik. No experience needed, just your zest for learning! Art supplies are provided, but you may bring your own if you desire.

Enhance your fly fishing knowledge in this fly fishing plus class which will include a three hour classroom portion. Go more in depth on techniques and equipment. This class is best for those who have some experience fly fishing or have attended a Mueller fly fishing basics class. It is suggested that you bring your own rod to continue to hone your skills on the equipment you will use outside of the class. You must pre register for this class by calling the Visitor Center at 719-687-2366 or online.

Water and rain gear is recommended. This is a roughly 2 mile, moderate bike ride. Mountain bikes and E-bikes are welcome.

Featuring the sounds of saxophone and bass performing forest-inspired original compositions, select jazz standards, poetry, and stories of our natural world.
