Building Strong Readers & Skilled Educators
Phillips Fundamental Learning Center (PFLC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) offering specialized programs to support both young learners and those who teach them. Our mission is: “all kids reading, all kids succeeding.”
For Children (Ages 5-11): Their 24 one-hour literacy lessons are designed for children new to PFLC, providing a strong foundation in reading, writing, and spelling before the school year begins. Summer is the perfect time for educators and parents to expand their expertise and gain practical tools to help all children succeed. This program is an intensive, accelerated version of our traditional Fiber Optic training program, equipping you with 3 Fiber Optic Association-sanctioned Certifications in 5 Days. No prior experience necessary. This five-day boot camp includes our three foundational, certified fiber optic courses--Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT), Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Cabling (CFOS/O), and Certified Fiber Optics Specialist/Testing & Maintenance. Cost includes study materials, exam fees and textbooks for all three courses.
Hiring event to follow! Job applicants must be 17.5 years of age and participated in the certification course to attend.

- The citywide garage sale is on June 7 (If you are having a sale on additional days, pleases note it on the form and we will list it by your address).
- You may not have a sale for longer than 3 consecutive days.
- You may only hold 2 garage sales per year.
- There is no permit required.
- We provide the online listing and online map.
- We do not provide signage.
- Signage in right of ways, that blocks the view of traffic is not permitted.
