Summer Program at Phillips Fundamental Learning Center

Building Strong Readers & Skilled Educators

Phillips Fundamental Learning Center (PFLC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) offering specialized programs to support both young learners and those who teach them. Our mission is: “all kids reading, all kids succeeding.”  

For Children (Ages 5-11): Their 24 one-hour literacy lessons are designed for children new to PFLC, providing a strong foundation in reading, writing, and spelling before the school year begins.  This program helps build confidence and essential skills for lifelong literacy success. To enroll your child click on the link above today.

For Educators & Parents: Their Structured Literacy Specialist Programs offer continued education in Science of Reading teaching methods. Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) Boot Camp - Fully Funded

 

This program is an intensive, accelerated version of our traditional Fiber Optic training program, equipping you with 3 Fiber Optic Association-sanctioned Certifications in 5 Days. No prior experience necessary. This five-day boot camp includes our three foundational, certified fiber optic courses--Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT), Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Cabling  (CFOS/O), and Certified Fiber Optics Specialist/Testing & Maintenance. Cost includes study materials, exam fees and textbooks for all three courses.

 

Hiring event to follow! Job applicants must be 17.5 years of age and participated in the certification course to attend.

Redbud Trail Mainenance
What: Light vegetation trimming and trash pick up.
Why: The Redbud Trail is a WONDERFUL community asset that is available to all, so we all should pitch in to take care of it. This is a great opportunity for nonprofit organizations or student community service hours.
