#BestDamWineWalks started in 2015 Thanks to the wonderful idea from a couple of locals. On the 2nd Saturday of each month (Excl. May - Aug) Boulder City’s Historic District becomes flooded with both locals and tourists looking to explore the beautiful historic district, meet some amazing business owners and make some new wine walk friends. The Best Dam Wine Walk has a minimum of 25 participating businesses.
Each month has a special theme that participants are encouraged to dress up! As they explore the shops and make their way around town one of the businesses will be judging the theme participants and 1 lucky winner is revealed at the end of the evening. The prize is provided by the Theme Judge from that month.
Looking forward to seeing you out and about in Boulder City!

Dear Lake Mead National Recreation Area Community,
We invite you to join us for a 1-hour online community meeting on Thursday, September 28, at 3 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to share information about the work we do and increase community understanding and support of our operations, challenges, upcoming projects and initiatives.
These quarterly meetings will have updates from our newly appointed Superintendent, Mike Gauthier, as well as short presentations on a variety of programs and projects that directly impact those who live and work in the area. The speaker lineup for the first meeting is:
Superintendent Mike Gauthier -- Introduction and Overview of Lake Mead Status Updates
Branch Chief of Engineering Aimee Warner -- Update on major park projects
Deputy Chief of Maintenance Zane Johnson -- Road repair and rehab updates
Museum Curator Jessica Bitter -- A look at the LAKE museum program
Volunteers-In-Parks Coordinator Nancy Bernard -- An overview of the Lake Mead Volunteers in Parks Program
Chief Ranger Trouper Snow -- An update on ongoing park issues regarding visitor behavior and associated subjects
The attached invitation provides a summary of the event for easy reference. We will also share out reminder emails as we get closer to the event. We look forward to highlighting the complex work and talented people who do it at Lake Mead National Recreation Area with you!
Please feel free to share this invitation with others who may be interested in joining. You can send us any other topics or questions you would like discussed to LAKE_Public_Affairs@nps.gov.
