This 3-weeks series is designed to teach you how to utilize your financial statements to better manage and understand your business operations, cash flow, and profitability. Focus includes: interpreting and understanding your financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) hands-on exercise and case study; identifying cash flow cycle and how it impacts your business; learning how to calculate and use financial ratios to troubleshoot fiscal dangers, and analyzing trends to improve business performance; using financial tools to make good business decisions for effective spending and break-even analysis; knowing how to think critically when looking at pricing and costs; and developing forecasts and budgetary tools and techniques to improve profit.12/3/2024 - 1/30/2025
The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce and the Colusa County Partnership (CCP) will provide members with no-cost assistance in filing Beneficial Ownership Information Reports. The new filing requirement, created under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) to combat illicit financial activity, went into effect on January 1, 2024. Under the act, most small businesses, corporations, and LLCs across the United States must file Beneficial Ownership Information reports, also known as Corporate Transparency Reports. Failure to file carries potential civil and criminal penalties. Civil penalties for a violation are up to $500 per day. Criminal penalties are up to 2 years of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
CCP Representatives will provide assistance through the Chamber of Commerce at their offices at 2963 Davison Court in Colusa. CCP will be on site Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM—3 PM beginning December 3 through January 30. Appointments can be scheduled with Andy Lucas at andy@cds.consulting or by calling (916) 995-4675.
In addition to assisting with the Beneficial Ownership Reports, CCP assists with Business and Marketing Plan Development and preparing to Access Business Capital. California Uniform Retail Food Facility Law requires re-certification of competence in Food Safety and Sanitation every 5 years. Passing the ServSafe® exam is necessary to renew your certification. Training includes National Restaurant Association ServSafe® Exam, Essentials book, Answer Sheet and Certificate. This training is recognized by the California Health Department and fulfills the State of California certification obligations. Learn the importance of food safety practices and how to implement them. The trainer is State certified. Participants must register and purchase books 3 weeks before training, to allow for book delivery and self-study. Seating is limited. Prepayment reserves your seat.12/25/2024
