In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Saturday, October 5th at 1:30pm is Notre Dame Catholic Church's Blessing of Animals in the church parking lot.
All pets, livestock, service animals, and other animal companions can receive this special blessing.This event is open to the public and ALL are welcome.
The Cresco Speedway will feature racing at the Howard County Fairgrounds.
Classes for Non-Fair Race events include USRA Stock Car, USRA B-Modified, USRA Hobby Stock, USRA Tuner and NEIRS Winged Sprint Cars. National points for the USRA classes.

Join this class to be refreshed on the requirements of being a licensed auto dealer in Iowa and how to maintain a dealer’s license. We will discuss updates and new laws enacted during the most recent legislative session that impact auto dealers and provide new information from federal and state agencies pertaining to the auto industry. Saturday, October 19th at the Cresco Theatre & Opera House is a live comedy show featuring Lee Hardin & Kari Jones, specializing in clean comedy, starting at 7pm. Tickets will be available at the Cresco Chamber, CUSB Bank, Cresco Bank & Trust, City Hall and the Theatre.
Lee Hardin is bringing a night of clean comedy to Cresco, IA. Lee has been performing standup for 10 years. He has two DryBar Comedy Specials and has appeared on The Huckabee show. He has shared the stage with notable comedians Nate Bargatze, Ryan Hamilton, and Henry Cho. Opening the show is Kari Jones. She is newer to the comedy scene, but has been frequently touring the Midwest and South. Her welcoming personality will put the audience at ease and get them ready for an evening full of laughter.

For Grades 1-6 there will be a Cheer camp every Tuesday and Thursday after school in the aerobic room of the Cresco Fitness Center.
Participants will focus on good sportsmanship, leadership, cheers, jumps, motions, stunting and a routine. Come dressed in your favorite costume that you feel comfortable walking, jogging, or running in! Distance is SCARY close to a 5k. We are excited to get back to hosting some fun events!

Open to all students in grades 6-12 this event will feature our "humans" struggling to avoid being turned into zombies.
Participants are asked to bring a bandanna (bandannas determine who is human and who is a zombie) and 10+ rolled up socks (socks stun zombies and prevent them from tagging the humans).
Snacks provided! Glow sticks provided to ensure the safety of participants.
This event is open to everyone in grades 6-12 and participants do not need to be Catholic to attend.

Hey kids, wanna decorate some fun Halloween cookies? It’s not as hard as you might think! With a little direction, a few tips and a bit of practice with a pastry bag, your decorated cookies will rival the fancy ones at the bakery. Grab an apron, roll up your sleeves and get ready to get your hands on some cookies! This fun class will be taught by Jodi Sorensen of ‘Just One More Cookie Co’! Class is open to kids in Preschool - 1st Grade.
