Slip on your boots, fasten your bow tie, and get ready for an unforgettable evening of rustic elegance at the Boots & Bow Ties Gala —the Lansing Educational Foundation’s signature fundraising event!This year, we’re trading flapper fringe for a touch of denim and sparkle. Think Denim & Diamonds—a perfect blend of casual charm and upscale celebration, all in support of the students and educators of USD 469.
Event Highlights:
Cocktail Reception: Kick off the evening with a hand-crafted cocktail and great company in a stylish, welcoming atmosphere.
Dinner Buffet: Indulge in a buffet featuring a variety of gourmet dishes.
Dancing: Hit the dance floor for an evening of music and celebration with friends and supporters.
Fundraising Activities: Participate in various fundraising activities throughout the evening, all aimed at supporting the students and teachers of the Lansing School District.

This year's 2025 Leavenworth County Veterans Day Parade will be held on Tuesday, November 11th in downtown Leavenworth, KS. The theme for this year's parade is "Honoring America's Veterans". Parade Lineup will begin at 9 am and the parade will start at 10:30 am.We encourage you to join us for the 106th Leavenworth County Veterans Day Parade. We are known as the largest and the oldest continuously held parade for Veterans Day West of the Mississippi River. It will be held in downtown Leavenworth, KS on Tuesday, Nov 11, 2025. Join us as we pay tribute and honor all US Armed Forces members both past, present and into the future, for all they have done and continue to do to ensure our freedoms in the United States.
If you wish to be a parade participant, you may begin submitting entries at http://lvvetsparade.com/ . Entry deadline is Oct. 31. We work to make each year's parade bigger and better than the previous years. Help us make this our largest parade!
Open to the Public - - -No entry fee!!!
Contributions, donations and sponsorships in support of the parade's expenses are always appreciated and welcomed to aid with the costs associated with promoting and putting on such a large parade. Costs include printing of flyers, advertising, and website upkeep to name a few. Those wishing to assist may Donate on our website by clicking the yellow DONATE button at the top of the page.

GET READY!!!On Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 5PM-9PM CST, we will join the Jordan's Way team at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, TX for the First Ever JORDAN’S WAY BOWL.
Unlike any other event, shelters and rescues traveling from across the United States will be working together to raise awareness for homeless animals and helping to raise much needed funds so we can continue our endless life saving efforts.
This event will include all the silly antics that make a Jordan's Way fundraisers so much fun. Not to mention, on top of the bailout wars and slime buckets, there will be shocking surprises, interactive activities, and opportunities for the community to unite in making a difference for rescue animals.
