Wedding chapels and venues across Clark County will kick off Veterans Day weekend and honor our military members with the the return of “Las Vegas Marries the Military.” All day Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, chapels and wedding professionals across the Las Vegas Valley will open their doors to members of the Armed Forces (active-duty, retired, veteran, national guard/reserves) by donating wedding services to selected military members.
The Office of the County Clerk and Vegas Wedding Chamber put a call out to the wedding industry to participate and received overwhelming support – 37 members have offered free services valued at nearly $50,000. This is the third year for Las Vegas Marries the Military, with it previously taking place in 2017 and 2018, providing a wide variety of weddings and vow renewals for our military couples from all over the country.
Las Vegas Marries the Military is open to all members of the United States Armed Forces, including active-duty, guards/reserves, retired and veterans. Only one member of the wedding party needs to be a United States Armed Forces member to be eligible to win one of the 20 weddings or vow renewals. The event is sponsored by the Office of the Clark County Clerk and the Vegas Wedding Chamber.
Our Theme this month is "Wedding Industry Townhall with Elected Officials and Policy Makers" This will be a very special opportunity for our community to make our voices heard with the Politicians and Policy Makers that can really affect our industry. Moderated by Government Affairs Committee Chair, Brian Mills, this Educational and Informative discussion is not to be missed. Come meet with local and State Elected Officials, some of whom will have just won their election the week before. Topics to be discussed include:
