As always, our game tables will be on, and the MadBarn Cafe will be filled with snacks and drinks for sale.

Look for tracks and hiding places of groundhogs and other woodland creatures with MLCT president Ben Diebold and director Bob Kuchta. See the modest beginnings of the Neck River, and rock ledge caves used for winter shelter by members of the Hammonasset Tribe. Hikes are advised to wear sturdy boots, or snowshoes if appropriate. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Meet at the trailhead on Lake Drive.

We are re-running our RESOURCES for Non Profits seminar Tuesday February 7th at 9am in the Meeting Room of the Scranton Library. This is a great event to attend if you are in any way connected to a local non profit. In this 90 minute presentation Jackie Downing of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven will be presenting VALUABLE information for any non profit. FREE to attend. Coffee provided.

MadBarn Club is the perfect monthly event for students in 4th-12th grade who would like to spend time at The Barn with their friends in a more social atmosphere. Every month the MBC will host a different activity that will occur after a short meeting. This club brings old and new friends together to have fun while being a part of what makes The Barn great!

Create an old-fshioned Valentine at the historic Allis-Bushnell House! Children of all ages and the young-at-heart are invited to make old-fashioned Valentines for sweethearts, friends, and loved ones. The Madison Historical Society will provide all the paper, glue sticks, scissors, and doilies to create the cards—plus enough chocolates to keep the energy flowing.

The Madison Historical Society will host a Victorian Valentine's Day Party for adults. Vintage Valentines, wedding dresses, and other expressions of love and romance will be on display. Victorian punch, adult beverages, tasty morsels—and, of course, chocolates—will be served at the Allis-Bushnell House.

Madison resident and nationally recognized storyteller Jennifer Munro will offer a moving tale of familial love, and DHHS student and harpist Michelle Jiang will provide romance-inducing music. Discover how the Victorians celebrated Valentine’s Day at this festive holiday event.

Search for animal tracks and signs at MLCT's newest property - the Lowry Woods Community Forest, with local naturalist Erik Becker.  We'll look for signs of white-tailed deer, coyotes, rabbits, grey squirrels, flying squirrels, red foxes, owls, bobcats and more.  This adventure is open to all ages.

Meet in the Lowry Woods parking lot on Warpas Road.  No dogs please.

NMCC Celebrates Black History Month. Join us on Sunday, February 19, 2023, as we celebrate Black History Month with the opening of an art exhibit displaying the paintings of artist Harry L. Green.
