For the 17 year in a row, the First Congregational Church of Madison, 26 Meetinghouse Lane (on the Green) is sponsoring lunchtime organ concerts at the church during five Fridays in Lent. The public is invited to come into the sanctuary or listen outside on the Green as the music is broadcast through our steeple speakers and enjoy a half-hour recital of music performed on the historic 1929 Möller organ by local organists. Attendees will enjoy a photo booth, dancing, hors d'oeuvres, complimentary wine and beer, a sit-down dinner, a live and silent auction, entertainment,and a special video presentation entitled The Imagined Life.
The Women & Family Life Center does not charge for it's programs, workshops, or services. Last year we provided over 5,600 individual services to over 500 participants on the shoreline and received over 700 referral calls. The funds raised through empowHer sponsorships, ticket sales, and our auctions all go directly to benefit the Center's programs and services. The empowHer gala will help to ensure those on the shoreline can continue to receive free service at a time of crisis.
Come celebrate those among us who imagined a better life. Armed with courage they found their way to our door, programs, and services. Finding support and empowerment at the center, they discovered a path to growth and their imagined life.

Members of the Astronomical Society of New Haven and the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society will have their telescopes set up to show you some of the best objects in the early Spring sky. If the skies are clear, we will be able to see the Moon, Venus, Mars, the Orion Nebula, star clusters, and many more fascinating objects in deep space. Bring binoculars if you have them so you can do your own exploring in between looks through the big telescopes. The Barn's most treasured tradition, Ties & Tiaras, has returned for 2023!The Barn will be magically transformed into an under the sea experience that will fill guests with a sense of awe and wonder as soon as they arrive. Formerly Known as the Daddy Daughter Dance, each session will feature dancing, games, snacks and treats, and an awesome raffle. Each session will have different raffle prizes catering to the recommended age group for that session.
