Get ready to tee off at the 16th Annual Mesquite Nevada Sunrise Rotary Golf Tournament! Join us fora day of fun and friendly competition on the greens as we raise funds to benefit the Mesquite Nevada Sunrise Rotary Foundation to support the Mesquite Reads Program and local scholarships.

What if we could say in great confidence in our town that all our children are capable readers by the 3rd grade? What would that mean to our town, what would it mean to those children, and what would it say about us as a community? Mesquite Reads started as an intensive summer reading program for kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders who are reading below grade level. In order to provide an intensive summer school session, the school must open for an additional five weeks, which means additional funding for teachers, supplies, and transportation. Since COVID, Mesquite Reads has expanded to include other programs to foster reading skills for the students of our communities. Our Book Day Giveaway program provides 5 books for each member of the family attending the event and is scheduled several times each year. It is our hope to be able to expand each child's at-home library. Unfortunately, the funds for programs like these are not in the school’s budget. The Eureka Community Initiative, along with strong support from the community, has funded these projects since 2014, but funds are needed for the 2023/2024 session. With the support of the community, this project can continue to impact our young students and our community positively.
