Summary
The Spring 2025 Community Education program at Scott Regional Technology Center offers a mix of computer and technical trade courses for personal and professional development. Topics range from beginner-level Excel to specialized machining and welding techniques. Classes are affordable, with fees starting at $60, and are taught by skilled instructors in evening sessions to accommodate diverse schedules. Registration can be completed in person, via mail, or online.

CoxHealth offers a program called PreventT2 to help individuals with risk factors get active and help prevent type 2 diabetes.
This year-long program includes:
- Skills to prevent Type 2 diabetes, including losing weight, increasing physical activity and managing stress
- Guidance and encouragement from a trained lifestyle coach
- Support from people who share similar goals
PreventT2 is offered through a collaboration between the University of Missouri Extension and Cox Monett Hospital, and is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
