Be a Part of the “Jingle thru North Plains” Parade and the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5, 2024!
This will be the 21st year for the North Plains Jingle Parade. North Plains individuals, families, friends, and organizations are encouraged to decorate anything that moves and participate in the parade.
Some folks decorate trucks and trailers, others bring the family car, and many residents rent golf carts from J & S Golf Carts on Main Street at (503) 647-1984. Motorcycles and bicycles can join as well. It is up to you to keep pace with the parade, which moves about 10 miles an hour, and have a light or two you can attach to your wheeled vehicle.
Line up info: 6-6:30 pm entries line up at the parking area between Peak Chiropractic and Umpqua Bank at 10355 NW Glencoe Road. The parade will end in front of the Senior Center at 31450 NW Commercial Street. The procession lasts about 30 minutes.
Show off Your Holiday Spirit!
A panel of judges will grant one lucky participant the “Best Decorated Vehicle” award on the night of the parade!
Tree Lighting at the end of the Jingle Thru North Plains parade
Between 7 – 7:15 pm when the Jingle Thru North Plains parade ends in front of the North Plains Senior Center at 31450 NW Commercial Street, there will be a tree lighting, carolers and refreshments until around 8 pm. Commercial Street will be blocked off for this event between 313th and Main Street.

DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The North Plains Food Bank Christmas Meal Distribution is a special event where we provide families and seniors in need with the ingredients for a festive and personalized holiday meal.
Volunteers are needed to help distribute the meals from the North Plains Food Bank on the lower floor of the North Plains Senior Center, 31450 NW Commercial Street, North Plains.
This year, we’re honored to support the 237 families (640 total people and of this number 193 senior citizens) currently signed up with the North Plains Food Bank. Families will have the opportunity to select the items they’d like for their meal, ensuring it’s meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we can spread holiday cheer and ensure no one goes without a warm meal during this season of giving. Together, we can make this holiday season brighter for our families and seniors in need.
