In this free one-hour presentation, attorney Christina Bucci Hamilton from our Partners Duggan McHugh Law, will walk employers through the various types of employee complaints which may trigger the employer’s duty to investigate, and will provide employers with practical guidance on how to discern when a third-party outside investigation is warranted versus an internal investigation. The Heartsaver course is open to the public, excluding healthcare providers. Healthcare providers should instead sign up for BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers class.
Description: The Heartsaver AED Course teaches one-rescuer CPR, Automated External Defibrillator use, and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The use of barrier devices for all ages will also be covered.
Intended Audience: This course is intended for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements or those interested in learning how to respond in the event of an emergency.
This community course is open to all participants.
Student Manual is provided in class.

We are living in challenging times that are creating stress, which is leading to an occupational phenomenon…BURNOUT. It is time to take a closer look at how to stop burnout before it starts and bring Wellness into the Workplace.
A successful Wellness Program is not just offering a membership at a gym or yoga class offered at lunch. Wellness is being actively engaged in attitudes and behaviors that enhance the quality of life and maximize personal potential. People who are engaged in their work and personal life are happier and more productive overall.
This session explains the effect stress and burnout have on people and companies and will offer idea’s on how to implement a simple and effective Wellness Program that will engage and inspire employees. Happy people are productive employees.

Cities, counties and special districts in California are required by law (AB 1234, Chapter 700, Stats. of 2005) to provide ethics training to their local officials.

• Seating in not provided, please bring chairs and blankets
• Feel free to bring non-alcoholic beverages and/or snacks, or already-prepared food items
• Personal coolers are not permitted
• Parking will be located in the lower main lot (near the gym), with overflow in the nursing lot and in front of the outdoor basketball courts
• Parking is free, passes are not needed for this event
• FRC is a weapon, drug, alcohol, tobacco and pet free campus; please respect these rules when attending the concert
