The Lake Almanor Area Chamber is excited to announce this year's 4th of July Parade theme: Reflections
This year's theme pulls on the heartstrings of generations of people who have been part of our 4th of July parades - past and present; whether they were in the parade or watching from the side. Take this opportunity to reflect on and show others what the Lake Almanor Basin Community means to you, your family and your friends.
Reflect on...
a special memory.
your favorite decade.
a moment in our history.
We want to provide everyone with the opportunity to showcase their Reflections of the Lake Almanor area on the floats in our 2023 parade.
The 2023 4th of July Parade will start at 11:00am at Collins Pine Park and roll down Main Street Chester to Olsen Street in Old Town.
To register a float, group or individual, please click here: https://mms.lakealmanorarea.com/members/evr/eventreg_email.php?mid=1773198665&evid=67970985&md=&
If you have any questions, please reach out to us by emailing us at info@lakealmanorarea.com.
The 4th of July Fireworks show over Lake Almanor is a 25+ year tradition. The show is shot from a barge off the tip of the Peninsula and brings a spectacular end to a day of celebrations. The show begins after sunset and is best seen in a boat near the peninsula or from the west shore of the lake. There are many, more distant, viewing spots along the East Shore.
We are grateful to all our generous sponsors and donors for keeping the fireworks spectacular alive year after year.
Join us every Thursday from 4-7pm

Plumas Arts is pleased to announce a gallery opening reception Friday July 7th from 5pm to 7pm at 525 Main Street in Quincy.
For the month of July, the Plumas Arts Gallery is featuring the work of Seamas Gallagher.
"My name is Seamas Gallagher, and I was raised here in Quincy, CA. I have always had a love of drawing, and have been lucky to be able to pursue a career in art. I have been working as a concept artist in video games for almost 15 years, and currently I work for Firaxis Games, based in Baltimore, MD. My job as a concept artist is to provide visuals for an art director for any given project, working within a set of parameters. These visual tasks range from characters, creatures, weapons, or environments. I enjoy fantasy and sci-fi subject matter the most, and tend to gravitate towards those genres in my own personal work."
Come by the Plumas Arts Gallery during regular hours to view the artwork. The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
July 07 | Cory Branan, Nashville
Cory Branan has proven himself as a top-notch songwriter, and a hyperdynamic performer with the ability to fingerpick finer than ‘60s Greenwich Village folkies and brutally strum like a proto punk shredder.
The Little Mermaid- Fri July 7 thru Monday July 10
The Little Mermaid, Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic, is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

Worlds collide in "The Flash" when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

• This 2 hour and 24 minute film is rated PG-13 for Partial Nudity, Action, Sequences of Violence, and Some Strong Language.
